That's not me on that board, but it should be, could be, would be. I took this while sitting in the most rickety motorboat imaginable, laden with a lot of photography gear in the middle of the Kentucky River near Shaker Village.
Tonight I'm working on building our new website and thinking about how busy the last seven months have been getting our studio and business set up (working full-time together as a couple!), and I'm sad that we didn't do nearly as much standup paddle boarding , camping and hiking as we normally do! However, I'm endlessly optimistic. I'm hopeful that the long run setting this up will mean even more flexibility for our family. Scale, hire great people (including our children as they get older), work hard — yes, of course, always — but gain some new freedom in our schedule with knowing that our business is thriving.
Someday. I know you're there waiting, my beautiful red board!
(Below is a photo our daughter drew of herself on one of the boards with daddy. :)
